Michele StoweWHO IS SKYROCKET?

SkyRocket LLC was formed in 2015 by Michele Stowe. It’s just me and my comic books. I am an Organizational and Leadership Development junkie who guides senior leaders and teams in improving their effectiveness, enhancing fulfillment, creating sustainable change and results. My executive career spans almost two decades and includes experience at Fortune 100 multinationals in a wide range of national and international organizational settings. I have worked in a variety of industries, including insurance, pharmaceuticals, real estate and start-up tech. In 2009, I took the leap into the nonprofit sector as the Chief Operating Officer at Mercy Housing. Among my achievements at Mercy is the creation of “Leadership Foundations” – a comprehensive talent management program for Mercy Housing’s leaders including onboarding, integration, talent reviews and succession planning – all wrapped around the core values of the organization.

My unique combination of corporate and nonprofit business experience informs my adaptable approach to leadership. I have had the opportunity to counsel in boardrooms and present to packed auditoriums. I have learned that all it truly takes to evoke effective change is empathy, innovation, and drive.

My role as a coach is to foster self-discovery, align and clarify goals, elicit solutions that are client-centered, and hold the client responsible and accountable. It is a dynamic, thought provoking process, inspiring the client to maximize their potential and tap into their own creativity and resourcefulness.

As it relates to team and leadership development, I’ve had the opportunity to “live with” the solutions I’ve implemented and streamline programs down to what really works in a resource constrained environment. My work has focused on team development, succession planning, alignment of business goals with talent, non-profit leadership, leading through crisis and transition.

I have a Master’s Degree in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and German from Dickinson College. I am a Hudson Certified Coach and am in the process of receiving my coaching certification through the International Coaches Federation (ICF). I bring a range of life experiences to my work. I have been lucky enough to live and work in many countries, I am an avid alpine skier (and après-skier), hiker and proud comic book nerd. I live in Denver, Colorado with my family.
