Dr. Shreya Sarkar-Barney is the CEO and founder of Human Capital Growth Inc. (HCG), a talent management firm that helps organizations achieve better outcomes using science, analytics, and empathy. HCG offers services that promote leadership excellence and talent management excellence. In 2019, Shreya was awarded the Scientist-Practitioner Presidential Recognition by the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP).

Shreya regularly works with leaders across the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Some of her prior roles include leading leadership development at Levi Strauss & CO., and organizational effectiveness and training at Dendrite International. Shreya was a visiting scholar and lecturer at the University of California, Berkeley and held a tenure-track academic position at Illinois Institute of Technology. Shreya is an Affiliate Research Scientist with the Center for Effective Organizations (CEO) at the University of Southern California. She is on the board of the HR Strategy Forum and an appointed advisor to the City of Vacaville Economic Development Council. Shreya is the author of the book “The role of national culture in transfer of training.” She has also authored several book chapters and peer-reviewed research papers and is a frequently invited speaker.
