Janet IoliJanet is an executive coach, leadership and organizational development consultant, and an engaging speaker and workshop leader. Her experience helping people become better leaders and navigate through change spans over twenty-five years. During this time, Janet has designed and led executive leadership programs, provided one-on-one or group executive coaching, and created strategies and processes to improve organizational effectiveness. She has held leadership positions leading Leadership Development, Talent Management, Organizational Development, and Human Resources functions in Fortune 200 companies such as CIGNA, Gannett/USA Today, Northrop Grumman, and Lockheed Martin.

With this extensive experience working with executives and as a senior leader herself inside Fortune 200 companies in different industries, Janet has first-hand knowledge of the realities, situations, and complexities executives face leading organizations. Janet has worked with and coached thousands of leaders in manufacturing, banking, military, insurance, government, publishing, media, government contracting, and information technology industries and has lived and worked internationally in Greece and Germany.

She is author of the practical leadership book, “The Cure: Remedies for the 5 Ailments that Plague Organizations”, published in 2014, and writes a weekly blog for leaders entitled “Maximize Your Impact”. In addition, Janet is an adjunct faculty member at American University’s School of Public Affairs. She teaches leadership courses in the Key Executive Leadership Program for government executives working in federal agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security, The U.S. Postal Service, and Health & Human Services.

Janet holds dual Master’s degrees in Business and Public Administration and has completed coursework towards a PhD in Adult Learning & Human Development. She is certified by the International Coaching Federation and has years of on-going coach training, including an advanced executive coaching certificate for experienced, certified executive coaches at UMD’s Smith School of Business, and a certificate in coaching for well-being. She is a recognized thought leader, with membership in the Forbes Coaches Council, an invitation-only council for leading business and career coaches and as a contributing writer to Forbes and Huffington’s Thrive Global.

Janet has both deep practical experience and academic knowledge of leadership, group dynamics, and human psychology and development.
