Bo-Dean Sanders
Bo-Dean Sanders is an author, advocate, media producer & host, podcaster, and motivational speaker. Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Bo-Dean, and his siblings were raised by their single mother. He learned his values by attending his grandmother’s Baptist church. Bo-Dean represented Jean Ribault High as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) athlete of the year in the 1981–1982 football season.
Bo-Dean is a former student athlete for Villanova University, having started his college football career at Cheyney University, America’s oldest Historically Black College-University (HBCU). He is the author of “Race Against…Against Race: My Journey of Diversity and Inclusion Through Sports,” and his memoir is listed on The Big East Conference’s website as recommended reading on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Bo-Dean writes and speaks about diversity, equity, and inclusion in sports, highlighting the positive impact of multiculturalism on his personal relationships in college. He shares his journey (as a student athlete) overcoming homelessness and food insecurity with the support of his Villanova teammates, family, and friends.
Previously, Bo-Dean was the founder of BDS Marketing, where he provided marketing services for amateur indoor hockey venues. Additionally, he served as the General Manager of Tri-States Sports Arena, a venue that hosted amateur, semi-pro, and professional sports events. Bo-Dean currently holds the position of CEO at Bo-Dean Enterprises, LLC. He resides in Haverford Township, PA.
